Abstract

The guarantee of a classroom for course instruction is an expectation of students who register for a faceto-face course at colleges and universities. Unfortunately, the assurance of a classroom is not always the case for a wide range of reasons. One possible reason for this shortcoming is leadership. The challenge of not having a classroom presented an opportunity for the students in one professor’s leadership class to personally apply the interactional framework for analyzing leadership. This case provides first-hand accounts of the leadership lessons learned by students and the professor as they traveled along the path to a classroom.
